Since 1998, the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) has offered English language programmes and courses in Prague. UNYP, is the largest and leading English-language higher education institution in the Czech Republic.
As the only university in the Czech Republic offering both an American accredited diploma and an accredited European diploma for undergraduate studies, UNYP is the preferred destination for any international student. For graduate students, UNYP offers internationally recognized diplomas from U.S. and British universities.
At the moment, more than 800 students from more than 60 countries study at UNYP. The lecturers are from the USA, UK and Europe (from more than 30 countries), and have both academic and professional experience with them. This makes UNYP multicultural and offers an international environment, for each student, with good circumstances to expand the international circle of friends and develop a broad network.
UNYP offers challenging, internationally recognized learning circumstance in a beautiful city in the heart of Europe, tailored by respected institutions from the US and the United Kingdom. The lectures are held by an internationally recognized and experienced faculty that uses modern, open, thoughtful and participating teaching methods for a culturally and geographically diverse group of students which truly reflects the diversity these days and in the future.
Prague, is a wonderful city with its special characteristic architecture, which makes it very easy to fall for the city. Prague is brilliantly constructed so that almost everything is in walking distance, thanks to the construction around Prague city centre. Something that has helped make Prague an ultimate student city & nightlife is definitely the student-friendly prices.
In particular, in the many restaurants, bars and the vibrantly familiar nightlife, the city is known for its many music festivals. If you have enjoyed a little too much of the local tasty beer, for which the Czech Republic is known for and which in some cases is cheaper than a bottle of water, you can easily venture into quieter areas. Prague has beautiful rivers, parks and natural areas that can provide peace of mind, but should you need an adrenaline kick, you can easily book a river rafting trip.
There is much to see and experience in Prague, but some points that satisfy cultural purposes are certainly the following:
All UNYP students live primarily on the institution's collaborators within student housing, which is located 15-30 minutes from the campus itself. The homes are located in historic buildings that have recently been renovated. The entire building is equipped with Wi-Fi and laundromats and is close to several supermarkets.
All student accommodations already has bed, bed cover, blanket, towels, wardrobe, desk and chairs. The kitchen is a shared kitchen with all standard equipment included. The common area is primarily used as a study lounge for the resident students.
Homes are available in different sizes depending on whether you want to stay with a roomie or with a group of 4-6 students who want to share a student accommodation.
